Alberta selected candidates for immigration
Applicants did not have to have a prioritized occupation this time.
Alberta released the results of the recent immigration draw that took place on August 24. The province invited 168 candidates from the Alberta Express Entry stream.
This stream is for applicants who are registered in the Express Entry system and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs:
All invited candidates needed to score a minimum of 302 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System. Points are awarded for factors such as age, education, work experience, ability to adapt to Canada, and the like. Also, priority in the selection was given to those with an in-demand occupation or relatives in Alberta.
Previous draws in the province were held on August 15, 16, and 22, with only professionals with in-demand occupations invited. And a general selection for all applicants was on August 3.
