Nova Scotia will begin assisting immigrants before they arrive in Canada

The Ministry of Immigration has announced an investment in the Provincial Immigrant Services Association.

People who decide to change their lives and immigrate to Canada need support. Often this support is needed even before you arrive in the country. Such support is very important for a successful start in life as an immigrant.

In Canada, some companies help people who plan to move to the country before their arrival. These companies provide information and other support, help make good decisions about their future lives, and allow immigrants to adjust successfully to their new place and find work more quickly.

In May of this year, it was announced that Immigration Canada would invest CAD 65 million in companies that help immigrants settle in the country. And on June 27, 2023, Member of Parliament for Halifax Andy Fillmore announced on behalf of Minister of Citizenship, Refugees and Immigration Sean Fraser that the Immigration Services Association Nova Scotia (ISANS) will receive an investment of CAD 6.8 million. The funds will help provide important pre-arrival services to immigrants to Nova Scotia.

This help will allow newcomers to integrate into society more quickly. By investing in pre-arrival services provided to immigrants by organizations such as ISANS, the government helps newcomers settle in. By investing in the future of immigrants, Canada invests in the future of the country.
