Canada needs customs officers
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is looking for new employees and is ready to pay them up to CAD 70 000.
Recently, Canadian government agencies have been offering a large number of job vacancies with decent salaries, including the need for police officers in the province of Ontario and actively accepting foreign nurses in Alberta. This week, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced a list of available positions.
Currently, they are looking for employees for the real estate department: people are needed to handle government procurement, monitor the quality of materials, and construction of objects. Depending on the position, they offer flexible schedules and a hybrid work format — employees will only need to spend part of their time in the office and on-site, and the rest can be spent at home. Some employees will also have access to a compressed workweek, where they work for 4 days.
These people will be responsible for providing, repairing, and purchasing equipment, including airplanes, updating and building customs checkpoints, improving airport and train station infrastructure, and so on. CBSA is willing to pay them from CAD 65 547 to 70 622 .
Employees are needed in various locations throughout the country. In most cases, they are required to be in the office for at least 2 days a week. To qualify for this job, you need to have a high school diploma or a combination of education, additional training, and/or experience.
Other requirements include experience working on property management projects, experience in quality control and procurement of materials, management skills, analytics, decision-making, and project deadline tracking. You should also be prepared to work overtime and travel within Canada or to the United States for up to a week.
If you meet these requirements, CBSA recruitment specialists will add you to the list of potential employees. Even if you do not get the job now, they may offer it to you in the future when a suitable vacancy appears.
You can submit an application for these Government of Canada jobs until May 10, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
