Canadian province prepares new immigration program

Who is the priority?

The province of Alberta is developing a new immigration stream for workers in the tourism and hospitality industry. The region's official website says the industry has been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to face a shortage of workers.

"This stream is expected to provide a dedicated and faster option to permanent residence for newcomers working in the industry," Alberta's website.

No information about the new stream yet - it will appear in the coming months. But the government says the stream will complement the targeted draws for priority occupations, which are conducted under the Alberta Express Entry program. As of late, Alberta has been sending out invitations separately to candidates with all occupations and separately to those in demand in the labour market.

If you want to immigrate to Canada but do not know where to start, book a consultation with our company. A licensed specialist will assess your chances of permanent residency based on your situation and suggest suitable options for relocation.
