Alberta held a draw after six months

The passing score was significantly lower, but few invitations were sent.

On January 17, Alberta released its December 8 immigration draw results. This is the first time in a long time that the region is inviting applicants for the provincial immigration program.

129 candidates registered in the Express Entry system were selected. They scored a minimum of 305 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System. The previous draw in Alberta took place on July 29. The minimum score was 473 — significantly higher than in the new draw.

To receive an invitation in the draw, applicants must have an Express Entry profile and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs:
