The province of Saskatchewan has launched a new pool for medical professionals

It will help connect health professionals with jobs offered by employers in Saskatchewan's health sector.

On August 25, Saskatchewan launched a new expression of interest pool for health professionals. The province's website defines an expression of interest for health professionals: it is a pre-application form (online form) that indicates an interest in working in Saskatchewan in a chosen profession in the health sector and shows the employee's qualifications.

It does not equate to an application to the Saskatchewan immigration program. The information requested is used to identify a professional for jobs offered by Saskatchewan health sector employers. Those with the necessary skills will be contacted and provided with job information, indicating where and how to apply for the position. After receiving a job offer, the candidate will be eligible to participate in the International Skilled Worker — Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot and Employment Offer immigration streams.

The system involves specialists in the following professions:

So far, Saskatchewan has sent out a total of 5,554 invitations.

The last selection took place on August 25.
