Immigration Screening May 5 in Saskatchewan
Candidates from certain professions were invited.
On May 5, 2022, the Province of Saskatchewan invited 106 candidates on the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream, 91 on the Occupation In-Demand stream, and one Ukrainian who had previously applied for immigration. A total of 198 invitations were sent.
The passing score for all candidates, except the Ukrainian, was 85. The Ukrainian had a score of 71. In the penultimate selection, which the province held on March 8, 2022, the passing score was slightly higher — 87.
As in previous selections, invitations were extended to specialists who are now required in Saskatchewan:
- administrative staff;
- specialists in business consulting;
- administrative assistants;
- professionals in advertising, marketing and public relations;
- retail and wholesale managers;
- social educators;
- senior managers — health care, education, social and community services and membership organizations;
- consultants, program managers, and social policy researchers;
- social workers and community service organizers;
- managers in insurance, real estate and financial intermediation;
- other social science professions not included in other categories (e.g., anthropologists, archaeologists, applied geographers, and linguists);
- geological technologists, geological technicians and mineral specialists;
- administrators — higher education and professional training;
- operators of central control and refining of oil, gas and chemicals;
- contractors and managers in oil and gas drilling and services;
- other educators (e.g., driving or cosmetology teachers);
- production managers;
- medical administrative assistants;
- electrical and electronic engineering technicians and technologists;
- health, safety and security inspectors;
- managers in agriculture;
- social workers;
- managers in social, community and correctional services;
- welders and machine operators;
- oil, gas & chemicals refiners;
- metallurgical and materials engineers;
- architects;
- technical specialists in the maintenance of electronic systems (household and industrial equipment);
- plumbers;
- house construction and renovation managers;
- tilers;
- consultants, program managers, and educational researchers;
- specialist in Engineering Geology;
- industrial instrument technicians and mechanics;
- plotters;
- industrial designers;
- insurance underwriters;
- technologists and technicians of design work;
- researchers of questions in the natural and applied sciences, consultants, and program coordinators;
- makers of tools and dies;
- executive assistants.
