Foil-less visa to Canada
What does a single entry permit for Ukrainians look like?
Canada's visa centers in Europe are overloaded. Immigration Canada (IRCC) cannot cope with the number of applications for Canada-Ukraine Emergency Entry Permit (CUAET). In addition, from the beginning Ukrainians were promised that it would be possible to get into Canada even if they did not have a passport.
Now, when people began to receive visas en masse under the CUAET program, it has finally become known how in practice entry into the country without a visa pasted into the passport is realized. A person receives a letter from the Ministry of Immigration, prints it out, and receives the right to enter Canada for a single entry.
It is stated that only six countries can be departed with such a letter:
- Poland;
- Germany;
- Slovakia;
- Hungary;
- Austria;
- Romania.
If a person needs a visa pasted into the passport, he/she should submit it to the nearest visa center and pay the services of a courier, who will bring the prepared documents to the specified address. For example, to leave Canada and come back, you will need to submit the documents again and get a regular visa pasted into the passport. Some people may find it easier to submit their passports to a visa center back in Europe. But the Department of Immigration warns that it can take up to six weeks to get a visa pasted in.
April 3 we wrote that our employee Elena and her family were approved for the Canadian visa. Just today, on April 15, the passports with the visas were delivered to her home by a DHL courier. Please note: Helena's passport expires in 2023, so the visa was issued until 2023. The child was issued a visa until 2027.
