Alberta has made a new selection

The province has already issued 5,116 invitations for 2021.

On October 12, as part of the provincial immigration program, the Alberta government invited 293 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The invitations were drawn among candidates who had participated in the stream immigration with selection through Express Entry.

The minimum passing score on the complex ranking system was 300. It has not changed in comparison with the previous selection, which was held on September 30.

To receive an invitation in the drawing, applicants had to have a profile in the Express Entry system, which Canada uses to process applications for permanent residence under the three federal immigration programs:

Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 points. This almost guarantees an invitation in a subsequent Express Entry drawing.

To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation from the Province of Alberta, keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
