Canada has changed the amount of money needed to immigrate through Express Entry
The update applies to federal program applicants.
The new rules apply to candidates Express Entry for programs:
- for professionals with experience in Canada (Canadian Experience Class);
- for qualified people (Federal Skilled Worker);
- for working professionals (Federal Skilled Trades).
The requirement to have funds does not apply to candidates who have a job offer in Canada
Candidates for the listed programs who do not have job offers in Canada will need the following amounts to maintain eligibility for immigration:

| 2 | $16 449 CAD |
| 3 | $20 222 CAD |
| 4 | $24 553 CAD |
| 5 | $27 847 CAD |
| 6 | $31 407 CAD |
| 7 | $34 967 CAD |
An additional $3,560 CAD will now be required for each new family member.
If your proof of funds shows lower amounts, you will have to update your Express Entry profile by July 15, 2021. Updating your information will not change the processing time for your application.
