Canada has lifted restrictions on entry for one category of aliens
Now more people will be able to come to the country.
Yesterday, June 21, Canada announced new border rules that allow vaccinated citizens and permanent residents to avoid quarantine hotels and self-isolation upon arrival from abroad. Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino made another announcement that applies to those planning to move to Canada.
"Today, I am pleased to announce that all those who have proof of permanent residency, particularly those who obtained it after March 18, 2020, can now come to Canada," the minister said.
Until that day, only those immigrants who had received proof of permanent resident status (COPR) by March 18, 2020 could cross the border.
According to the Canadian government, travelers with CORPs will have to follow all the rules that apply at the border: testing for COVID-19 before departure, testing on arrival, waiting for results at a quarantine hotel and then self-isolating. 72 hours before departure, you must also install the ArriveCAN application and enter your data there.
