Immigration to Nova Scotia through the Labour Market Priorities for Physicians stream

The Labor Market Priorities for Physicians stream allows physicians to obtain permanent residency in Nova Scotia.

The Labour Market Priorities for Physicians stream of Nova Scotia's provincial program allows candidates who are physicians and have a profile in Express Entry to immigrate to the province.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Labor Market Priorities for Physicians stream, you must meet the following requirements:

  • have an active Express Entry profile and meet the criteria for one of the federal immigration programs;
  • receive a letter of interest from the Nova Scotia provincial program within the Express Entry system;
  • get a job offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) or the IWK Health Centre;
  • apply for the stream within 30 days after you receive the letter of interest.

How to apply

A candidate who meets the above requirements can create an account on the official Nova Scotia website. Note that only candidates who have been contacted by provincial representatives through Express Entry can apply. You cannot independently declare your interest in immigrating through the Labour Market Priorities for Physicians stream.
