Digest of the week: new immigration pilots and selections

Here's a recap of the important events of the past week.

Immigration news

Great news for francophones — Quebec has launched 3 new immigration pilots

In terms of immigration selections, there have been four:

Fighting the pandemic

I wish this column would leave its place in our weekly digest. But before the pandemic is over, we continue to share the latest news. Last week, Canada approved a third vaccine for COVID-19, but research shows it will be ineffective for people aged 65+

Meanwhile, in Montreal, vaccinations will be available at pharmacy outlets and in Vancouver, volunteers will receive money for getting immunized.

By the way, the City Hospital of Ottawa is planning to release three vaccines at once. And if you are still afraid of side effects after vaccination, read our article about how the first brave people who tested the drugs against coronavirus feel.

Hotel quarantine

It seems that this measure does more harm than good. Every week, people complain about the laxity of the entire quarantine system: some cannot book a room at a special hotel, while others pay crazy money for 1 night of quarantine.

Learning English

It's been a while since I've talked about English classes — and now there's a great excuse. ILAC has been ranked as the best language school in Canada! Plus, we have a great promotion: buying any English course, you get additional weeks for free.
