Attestation of learning about democratic values for immigration to Quebec

Quebec has a mandatory test of democratic and provincial values for candidates in all immigration programs.

Candidates applying for any Quebec immigration program must take an online test on their knowledge of the democratic and provincial values, which are stated in the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms (Charte des droits et libertés de la personne).

The test is obligatory for principal applicants, their spouses 16 years of age and older, and their children 18 years of age and older. Only those candidates who are unable to take the test because of some physical condition can get an exemption.

To pass the test, you need to answer 75% of the 20 questions correctly. If you fail, you can retake the test no sooner than in 2 weeks. The maximum number of attempts is 3, after that you can only an information integration session (Objectif Intégration), which is held in Quebec.

The test certificate is valid for 2 years.
