Immigration to Manitoba for graduate entrepreneurs
The International Student Entrepreneur Pilot of Manitoba's provincial program offers permanent residency to graduates who intend to start a business.
The International Education Stream — International Student Entrepreneur Pilot is designed for candidates who have graduated from a Manitoba university or college and wish to start a business there. This stream's slots are limited, and candidates must attend an information session before applying.
Eligibility requirements
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:
- develop a business plan;
- have managed a business for at least 6 months as a director before applying, with a minimum 51% ownership stake;
- demonstrate English or French language proficiency at CLB level 7 (upper intermediate);
- complete an educational program of at least 2 years at a Manitoba post-secondary institution;
- be between 21 and 35 years old;
- have a valid work permit and be residing in Manitoba at the time of application;
- show sufficient funds to support yourself and family members: at least CA$10,000 for the principal applicant and CA$2,000 for each family member.

All those wishing to immigrate through the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot must first register for an information session. To do this, contact the provincial program representatives via email, which is provided on the official Manitoba website.
