Immigration to Manitoba through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream

People who have a job offer in Manitoba, including graduates of Canadian universities, can get permanent residency through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream.

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream of Manitoba’s provincial program allows professionals who can contribute to the local economy and have a strong connection to Manitoba to become permanent residents.

Eligibility

To be able to immigrate through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • have a job offer from an employer in Manitoba;
  • work for at least 6 months for the same employer in Manitoba (for at least one year if you are a graduate of a Canadian university outside Manitoba);
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French necessary to perform the duties of the job;
  • provide a Settlement Plan in which you demonstrate your intention to live and work permanently in Manitoba.

Evaluation of candidates

Manitoba uses the Expression of Interest system to evaluate candidates. You need to score as many points as possible (maximum 1,000). They are awarded as follows:
