Job fair for workers: don't miss the opportunity to immigrate
One Canadian province will hold an online information session for some professions.
The Province of New Brunswick will host a virtual job fair for welders, machinists, construction installers, and their families. Professionals who succeed in attracting the interest of provincial representatives or local employers will be able to get a permanent residence in New Brunswick.
Requirements
Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years in one of the listed occupations to participate. If you have worked part-time, your experience must be within 2 years and total 1,560 hours. The candidate must also have sufficient funds to support themselves and their family members after moving to New Brunswick.
Filing
Candidates who qualify are invited to register on the online portal. There you need to fill in an application form and attach a number of documents in JPG or PDF format:
- valid passport page with photo — obligatory;
- a visa confirming your legal stay — obligatory if you are not residing in your home country;
- results of language test — if available;
- report on certification of diploma of education — if available;
- resume is optional;
- Spouse's resume — optional.
The questionnaire consists of four pages. Important: be careful when filling in, because if you make a mistake, you will not be able to return to the previous page. During registration you will have to answer the questions concerning:
- of your education;
- work experience over the last 10 years;
- country of citizenship and residence;
- age;
- knowledge of English and French (according to a language test or personal assessment);
- the amount of money you can take with you to Canada;
- connections with New Brunswick and other provinces;
- the presence of a profile in the system Express Entry;
- spouse's data.
What's next?
The New Brunswick Commission will review applications and contact candidates who are interested. They will be informed of the exact date and time of the session. Only candidates selected by the Commission will be allowed to participate in the fair. Participants who interest provincial representatives or employers will then have the opportunity to immigrate to New Brunswick through one of the provincial programs.
