Newfoundland and Labrador launch series of virtual job fairs
The province awaits immigrants from all over the world.
The province of Newfoundland and Labrador will launch a series of virtual immigration fairs and job fairs for foreign nationals this week. The fairs will run from September 2023 to March 2024.
The provincial government will hold the first of five fairs, which are aimed at potential immigrants from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, on Sept. 20. The fair will begin at 7:00 a.m. Toronto time. The job fair will be held virtually.
The purpose of these fairs is to provide participants with the opportunity to get in contact with employers, network with them, post resumes, and attend immigration program information sessions where they can ask immigration consultants questions. Participants will also be able to learn about all the necessary steps to immigrate to Newfoundland and Labrador and get additional information about the province such as cost of living, lifestyle, jobs, salaries, and population.
In addition to the first fair, organizers have already announced the dates of the other four fairs for residents from other regions:
- Oct. 25 for residents of Africa;
- November 16 for residents of Europe and Central Asia;
- January 24, 2024, for residents of the Middle East and South Asia;
- March 27, 2024, for residents of the Americas.
You can register for the fairs at the link.
