Canadian sportswear manufacturer will hire immigrants
The company received permission from the government to hire immigrants.
Canadian sportswear brand Lululemon promises to hire 2 600 immigrants over the next five years. For them they will create new jobs. The company recently received permission from the government to do so. Now they have started looking for suitable employees. They won't be working in manufacturing, but in management or positions that require a lot of experience. The company needs directors, top managers and programmers.
The brand's management explains its decision by the lack of sufficient human resources in the country. Immigration Minister Sean Fraser allowed the company to hire foreigners under a simplified procedure. He said the Canadian economy will not be able to give constant growth, limited only to the domestic labor market — the country does not have a large working-age population and is becoming more and more pensioners. That's why we need migrants who will work in Canada, become citizens and raise children there. They will be the new generation of Canadians.
Lululemon is a popular sportswear brand in the West. Its main audience is young girls and women. You have probably seen the clothes of this brand if you have watched foreign fitness bloggers on social networks. This brand is constantly growing and needs new employees. It hired 9 000 Canadians for new jobs in 2022 alone.
