Ontario creates jobs

Ontario creates jobs

More and more earning opportunities are appearing in the Canadian provinces.

It is everyone's dream to see his or her country grow economically. A free market is necessary for the formation of small and medium-sized businesses, and lower taxes can generate additional interest for large enterprises.

Canada has been trying for a long time to develop its provinces. In five years, the government has provided over half a million jobs in Ontario. And most recently, Economic Development Minister Vic Fideli reported that the number of jobs rose again this March, by another 20,000.

If you read the statistics, the state is really trying to attract not only qualified specialists but also multiple injections into the country's economy. For example, last year this amount was about CAD 93 million. Canada is interested in increasing salaries because it will help potential immigrants with the necessary professions as best as possible to settle in place.

In the coronavirus interval, the government has managed to secure more than CAD 17 billion in investments in auto manufacturing. Most recently, Volkswagen announced plans to build its first electric car battery plant in St. Thomas in Canada. This is the first enterprise by Europe's largest automobile concern, preparing for opening abroad.

However, Canada does not want to stop and continues to develop its own production in Ontario. In the small town of Ingersoll, with a population of fewer than 15,000 people, the BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric car plant was opened.

The province has also bet on local businesses and made life easier for start-ups. As part of the 2023 budget, the government announced a tax credit for investments with the resounding name "Made in Ontario. In this way, the government wants to encourage the growth of local manufacturers, invest in innovation, and increase the number of decent-paying jobs.

The Minister of Economic Development is very proud of these indicators. In five years, Ontario has managed to create a stable labour market and surpassed all other provinces in this indicator. Last year, Canada's most populous region made more than 150 investment deals. The government has emphasized scientific and technological research as well as automotive improvements.

The country continues to strengthen relations with economic partners. This applies to those countries with which Canada met during trade missions in 2022: the United Kingdom, Belgium, South Korea, Japan, Germany, Austria, and India.
