Canada released a weather forecast for the coming winter
They're predicting a horrible frost!
The renowned forecaster Farmer's Almanac published a forecast for the winter of 2022-2023 that unpleasantly surprised Canadians. According to his data, the period from December to February will be extremely cold throughout the country, the seaside regions will experience a series of storms, and Ontario and Quebec will literally be covered with snow: in February, snowfall may bring up to 60 cm of precipitation at a time.
The harshest month will be January: thanks to the cold arctic wind temperatures will drop to -40ºC. It is reported that we should be especially careful in the first week of 2023.
The almanac has given the most favorable forecast for British Columbia: the air will be warmer than the national average, no more snowfalls are expected, so fans of winter sports can confidently prepare for the season and book the best places in the ski resorts of the province.
Although winter officially begins December 21, 2022, truly winter weather will arrive in the provinces much earlier in November: in Ontario the rains will change to snow as early as the first week of the month, in Prairies and Quebec expect icy showers with snow, in Atlantic Provinces there will be real blizzards by late November.
Spring is coming to Canada on March 20, and this time the transition will not be easy, with residents facing downpours that will be abruptly followed by the latest light snowfall and thunderstorms.
Weather forecasters recommend preparing for a harsh winter in advance and enjoying the heat, which Canadians can't stop complaining about on social media.
