Canada has been ranked in two of the best countries
In both rankings, the country was in the top ten.
Back in the lead! Canada is among the top 10 best countries to live in the world, according to a new Citizenship Report from CS Global. The report ranked the top most favorable countries based on a number of factors, including:
- safety;
- quality of life;
- economic opportunities;
- opportunities to travel and move to other countries;
- financial freedom.
Of the 187 countries represented in the report, Canada ranked eighth, ahead of such countries as Australia (10th), the United Kingdom (12th) and the United States (20th). Researchers particularly praised Canada's safety and quality of life.
The top ten countries were:
- Switzerland;
- Denmark;
- Finland, Norway, Sweden;
- New Zealand;
- Netherlands;
- Japan;
- Germany, Singapore;
- Canada, Iceland;
- Austria;
- Australia, Luxembourg.
The Canadian passport also recently made the list of the most influential in the world in 2022, according to the Passport Index. Canadian passport holders can travel to 185 countries around the world without a visa. This gave the country 7th place along with Australia, the Czech Republic, Greece and Malta. Compared to last year, the Canadian passport has moved up one line.
In the ranking of passports the best countries were:
- Japan, Singapore;
- Germany, South Korea;
- Finland, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain;
- Austria, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Sweden;
- Ireland, Portugal;
- Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Great Britain, USA;
- Canada, Australia, Czech Republic, Greece, Malta;
- Hungary, Poland;
- Lithuania, Slovakia;
- Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia.
