Canada extends relaxations for international students
Graduates will be able to obtain a work permit under the new conditions.
Canada extends the period during which international students can study online and obtain work permit in Canada after studying.
The possibility of obtaining a work permit after online learning came about in 2020 because of the pandemic. It has now been extended to August 31, 2022 and applies to academic programs of 8 months or more that started between March 2020 and summer 2022. Online, you can take the entire program even if you are outside of Canada. Previously, only full-time students received work authorization.
Studying in Canada is one of the surest ways to immigrate to Canada, as additional immigration programs are open to graduates. According to official statistics, 6 out of 10 international students who worked during or after their studies later obtained permanent residence in Canada.
A work permit after training allows you to work in any occupation for any employer and is usually issued for a period of 1 to 3 years.
