KPMG representatives said that shortage of workers is the main threat to business today.

The researchers compiled the following statistics:

  • 79% of companies have sent employees to work remotely, and they need more IT savvy people;
  • 69% of companies plan to hire more staff over the next 3 years;
  • 68% have difficulties in hiring employees with the knowledge and qualities necessary to develop the company;
  • 52% of businesses are unsure if they will find suitable workers in Canada and are considering hiring foreigners;
  • 24% said that they primarily need information and network security specialists;
  • 20% of employers need data analysts the most.
