Canadians cheered as the national hockey team reached the Stanley Cup final

Montreal Canadiens fans gave into their emotions completely, leading to devastating actions.

The last successful game of the Montreal Canadiens on home ice against the Vegas Golden Knights once again ended with a 3-2 victory in overtime. Thus the team secured a place in the Stanley Cup Finals and also gave great joy to their loyal fans.

While only 3,500 fans were allowed to watch the game at the stadium due to coronavirus restrictions, a large crowd watched the game on a street screen. The big win coincided with St. Jean-Baptiste Day, which certainly added to the festive atmosphere on the streets of Montreal.

Some fans went too far, overturning and smashing a police car. The situation outside was so dangerous that the Bell Centre Sports Complex had to close while police tried to calm the rampaging crowd.

If the Montreal Canadiens continue to play like this and win the cup, we can expect the celebration to be even more legendary.
