A weekend train will run between Toronto and Niagara

The popular route returns after a quarantine holiday.

GO weekend summer trains between Niagara and Toronto will begin running this Saturday, June 26. According to official reports, the plan is to run 8 trips per day on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The trip from Toronto will cost $25 CAD, with children accompanied by adults able to take advantage of the free fare.

The line will have seven full stops — Exhibition, Port Credit, Oakville, Burlington, Aldershot and St. Catharines — between the starting points: Union Station and Niagara Falls.

The partnership with Niagara Park will also feature travel packages that include a return trip on a WEGO bus that takes guests to Niagara attractions.

"Incorporating WEGO bus service into the program provides access to a large number of Niagara Park's great attractions," said Niagara Park General Manager David Adams.

Travel to Niagara Falls has been temporarily suspended due to the March 2020 pandemic.
