Canada's two national parks have been ranked among the world's most tranquil places

In a new ranking of the world's most tranquil national parks two Canadian parks, Banff and Jasper, are in the top five. They are both located in the province of Alberta and are very popular among tourists and local people.
A study conducted by Money.co looked at which parks can have a positive impact on people's health and mental health. Factors taken into account included the number of green spaces, rivers and lakes, the number of visitors, the level of clean air, plant and animal species, and the presence of spas and wellness centers on site.
So, the leaders of the ranking of the world's quietest parks:
- Swiss National Park (Switzerland);
- Banff National Park (Canada);
- Fjordland National Park (New Zealand);
- Jasper National Park (Canada);
- Göreme National Park (Turkey).
The top 15 also include parks in the US, UK, Italy, Turkey, South Africa, China, Tanzania, Croatia, Italy and Australia.
This is not the first time that Banff and Jasper have been included in such rankings. For example, Banff recently made the world's list of best places to visit and Jasper was selected as Canada's best national park.
