Major airline will reimburse the cost of tickets to its customers

The program takes into account all flights that were cancelled due to COVID-19, including non-refundable fares.

Canada's largest air carrier Air Canda is launching a program to reimburse passengers whose flights have been cancelled.

All flights starting from February 1, 2020 until April 13, 2021 are eligible for reimbursement. The best news is that tickets that were purchased with non-refundability will also be refunded.

The airline offers reimbursement regardless of the reason why the ticket was burned: the customer himself did not use the flight or the company cancelled the flight. Requests for reimbursement can be made online, on the airline's website or through a travel agent, until 12 June 2021.

The company has also revised its booking policy for all future flights. If a flight is cancelled or rescheduled for more than three hours, all customers will be offered an Air Canada travel voucher or the equivalent value in Aeroplan points with a 65% bonus.

Reimbursement on this scale was part of an agreement with the Canadian government, which has allocated $5.9 billion CAD from the federal budget for the event. Since March 2020, Air Canada has already reimbursed 1.2 billion customers.
