Immigration to Nova Scotia for candidates with work experience in the province
People who have worked in Nova Scotia can immigrate to Canada through the provincial program using the Express Entry system.
The Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream of the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program is designed for skilled workers who have worked in the province for at least one year and have a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
Requirements
To apply for the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream, you must meet the following requirements:
- be between 21 and 55 years old;
- have worked in Nova Scotia for at least 1 year;
- be registered in the Express Entry system and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs;
- have at least a high school education;
- demonstrate proficiency in English or French:
- at CLB level 7 (upper intermediate) for TEER 0 and 1 occupations under the Canadian NOC classification (skilled occupations);
- at CLB level 5 (intermediate) for TEER 2 and 3 occupations under NOC (trade occupations).
Candidates may also be called for an interview with Nova Scotia representatives.
