Immigration to Nova Scotia through Express Entry
People who have worked in Nova Scotia can immigrate to Canada through the provincial Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry program.
The Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream of Nova Scotia’s provincial program is designed for skilled professionals who have worked in the province for at least one year and have a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
Eligibility
To apply for the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream, you must meet the following requirements:
- be 21 to 55 years old;
- have worked in Nova Scotia for at least 1 year;
- be registered in the Express Entry system and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs;
- have at least a high school education;
- demonstrate proficiency in English or French:
Candidates are also sometimes invited to attend an interview with Nova Scotia representatives.
How to apply
You must first create a profile in the Express Entry system. After that, if you are interested in the Nova Scotia program, you can apply on the official provincial website.
Important: the profession of food service supervisor is excluded from the program. If you have experience in this occupation, you cannot apply.
