Immigration to the Northwest Territories for semi-skilled workers
Professionals with experience in mid-level and low-skilled occupations can immigrate through the Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations stream.
The Northwest Territories Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations stream allows immigration for medium and low-skilled workers who have found employment there.
Eligibility requirements
To apply for the semi-skilled worker stream, you must meet the following requirements:
- receive a job offer in the Northwest Territories for a TEER 4 or 5 occupation in the NOC (low-skilled and unskilled professions);
- work for at least 6 months with the same employer who made the job offer;
- demonstrate English or French language proficiency at CLB level 4 (basic level);
- have enough funds to settle in the Northwest Territories: CA $10,000 for the main applicant and CA $2,000 for each dependant family member.
