Immigration to the Northwest Territories for skilled workers

Professionals with work experience can immigrate through the Skilled Worker stream.

The Skilled Worker stream of the Northwest Territories program allows highly skilled professionals who have found work in the territory to immigrate.

Eligibility

To apply for the Skilled Worker stream, you must meet the following requirements:

  • get a job offer in the Northwest Territories in a NOC skills level 0, A, or B occupation (managerial, skilled, and trades occupations);
  • have 1 year of work experience within the last 10 years;
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French:
    • for NOC 0 and A occupations: at level 7 on the CLB scale;
    • for NOC B occupations: at level 5 on the CLB scale;
  • have enough money to settle in the Northwest Territories.
