Learning English for Immigration
Knowing a foreign language at a sufficient level is the first step when moving to another country. Let's find out what the possibilities are for learning languages and then taking language tests.
If you want to immigrate to another country, the first thing to do is to learn a foreign language. In theory, everyone understands that English is needed for finding a job faster, adapting faster in a new place or the trivial ability to ask for directions to the nearest "library". You can try to dismiss these statements and claim that everything will be learned faster in a language environment. This is partly true, but in practice it is more complicated.

Taking a language test
Many countries require the results of a language test when applying for emigration or for admission to a foreign university. These can be IELTS (International English Language Testing System), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TEF (Test d'Evaluation de Français), TEFAQ (Test d'évaluation de français pour l'accès au Québec), etc.
The test takes a few hours. It usually consists of 4 parts: speaking, writing, reading and listening comprehension. After a few weeks, the results of each category are known. The higher the score, the higher the chance of immigration.
Taking the IELTS test
IELTS certificate is the most popular certificate in the world. There are 2 varieties of the test: Academic IELTS and General Training IELTS. The first one is required for admission to a university in an English-speaking country, the second one is for those who have chosen another way of immigration.
You can get a score from 1.0 to 9.0 on the IELTS exam. When moving to Australia, scores are only given for an IELTS score of 7.0. For Canada, depending on the program chosen, it is 4.0-7.0.
Each version of IELTS is unique and contains no repetitions of previous versions. The certificate is valid for two years and you can retake the test an unlimited number of times. The Academic IELTS is taken 48 times a year and the General Training IELTS is taken 24 times.
Studying on a language course in Canada
For the best preparation for immigration, we recommend from our experience to live in another country for at least a month. For example, if you are thinking of emigrating to Canada, it is ideal to go to Toronto or Vancouver to learn English and Montreal to learn French. It's best to live with a family or in a hostel so that you can practice the language as much as possible and discover another culture. In a matter of days, you will become more tolerant of other nationalities and accustomed to a wide range of accents.
We cooperate with Canada's leading language schools and are their official representatives.

English with a Canadian teacher from home
If you really want to learn a language with a Canadian teacher but can't fly to Canada just yet, no worries! In the summer of 2020, a Canadian language school launched ILAC KISS online courses.
You learn English in ZOOM, the equivalent of Skype. There are up to 15 students from around the world, taught by experienced teachers from Toronto or Vancouver.
The most important thing is to be able to study for at least 20 hours a week, because classes run from Monday to Friday and last 3 hours with plenty of time for homework. On the other hand, progress can be seen after just a few weeks of study. The cost is also affordable — only $125 CAD (about $90 USD) per week $100 CAD for testing and registration.
In total, if you study online for 4 weeks, it would cost about $455 USD.
More information about these courses is available at this link. And be sure to watch the video:
