Vladimir Zelensky visited Canada
The Ukrainian president held productive talks with Trudeau.
Volodymyr Zelensky has paid an official visit to Canada — for the first time since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In Ottawa, the president met with Canadian Governor-General Mary Simon and her husband Whit Fraser, and then with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Zelenskyy also made a speech in parliament and thanked the Canadian authorities for their support.
In response, Trudeau promised to allocate an additional CA$ 650 million to support Ukraine and provide instructors to train Ukrainian pilots. In addition to Ottawa, Zelensky also had time to visit Toronto, where he met with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.
