Free flights to Canada for Ukrainians

Free flights to Canada for Ukrainians

An official statement from the federal government with specific dates.

On May 11, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced charter flight dates for Ukrainians in Poland. It took the Canadian government more than a month to arrange the flight and promised accommodation. Those who have not yet found accommodation in Canada will be able to spend 14 nights free of charge in temporary housing.

So far, three flights have been planned:

  • May 23 in Winnipeg, Manitoba;
  • May 29 in Montreal, Quebec;
  • June 2 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Invitations to check in for flights will be sent to Ukrainians who have received visas by e-mail. Only those who received visas under the program CUAET (Canada-Ukraine Emergency Entry Permit) will be able to fly to Canada.

If you are a citizen of Ukraine, but have not yet applied for a visa, we recommend you take the chance. To move to Canada with confidence, purchase our detailed guide, which contains the most necessary and important information about applying for a visa, adapting to Canada and much more.
