New Brunswick invites nurses to job fair

The event will take place online.

The Province of New Brunswick will host an online information session this fall for nurses as well as their families. Professionals will be able to gain residency status in New Brunswick.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of full-time professional experience or 2 years of part-time experience in the last 5 years is required to apply. Only paid work in the following occupations is taken into account:

Please note: The nursing profession in Canada is a licensed profession. It can take 12 to 24 months to obtain a licence from the Province of New Brunswick, go to official website for more information. You can participate in an information session prior to the licensing process.

Filing

Candidates who qualify are invited to register on the online portal. There you need to fill in an application form and attach a number of documents in JPG or PDF format:

  • valid passport page with photo;
  • a visa confirming your legal stay if you do not reside in your home country;
  • diploma in nursing education or report of certification of diploma in education, if available;
  • CV;
  • results of language test if available;
  • profile number Express Entry if you have an account in the system.

If desired, the candidate's spouse may also upload the listed documents. The spouse may have any specialty.

The questionnaire consists of 5 pages. Important: be careful when filling in, because if you make a mistake, you will not be able to return to the previous page. In the questionnaire you will need to provide the following information:

  • the country of your citizenship and current residence;
  • age;
  • English and French language levels (according to the test results or your personal assessment);
  • level and field of education;
  • whether you have begun the licensing process in New Brunswick;
  • the presence and number of children;
  • having relatives in New Brunswick and other provinces;
  • spousal information.

What's next?

The New Brunswick Commission will review applications and contact candidates who are interested. They will be informed of the exact date and time of the session. Only candidates selected by the Commission will be allowed to participate in the fair. Participants who are interested in provincial representatives or employers will then have the opportunity to immigrate to New Brunswick through one of the provincial programs or the Atlantic program.
