Canada's tallest suspension bridge opened to the public
The new landmark is located in Golden, British Columbia.
Visitors to the new Golden Skybridge will be able to climb to a height of 130 metres above the canyon floor, offering a panoramic view of the Columbia Valley and a 200-metre waterfall. In comparison, Canada's tallest suspension bridge was previously considered to be the Capilano in North Vancouver, at 70 metres above the Capilano River.
Skybridge has a canyon trail just over a kilometre long that connects two suspension bridges. The attraction also features a wooden playground and a courtyard where live music concerts are planned throughout the summer. Other recreational options planned include a 130-metre swing and a ziplane.
The price for locals is $34 CAD for adults and $17 CAD for children, and the ticket is valid as a season pass for the entire summer, regardless of when it was purchased. Some attractions will charge an additional fee.
