A young man fell off a chairlift.

On Friday, January 12, a tragedy claimed the life of a 15-year-old young man at the Sommet Morin Heights ski resort in Quebec City, located about 90 kilometers northwest of Montreal. The teenager fell from a chairlift in circumstances that are still unclear.

The incident occurred shortly before 22:00 local time, as reported by Camille Savoie, a spokesperson for the provincial police (Sûreté du Québec). After the fall, local medics and resort staff immediately attempted to resuscitate the minor before he was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were no longer able to save the young man.
