Is Alberta the best place for a winter vacation?

The province offers all sorts of fun activities for the cold season.

The authorities of the province of Alberta remind us that their region is one of the best (or even the best!) places in the world to spend a winter vacation. And all because of the stunning natural beauty and equally stunning infrastructure for recreation in the midst of these very beauties.

Camping

Both provincial campgrounds and private campgrounds are available in Alberta. For those who prefer to stay warm and cozy, there is the option of comfortable camping at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park and Cypress Hills Provincial Park.

A total of 26 comfortable and easily accessible campgrounds are available in the province and 45 more "wild," backcountry sites are available for those who prefer a higher level of hiking.

Winter sports

In addition to camping, Alberta offers numerous opportunities for winter activities: skiing, ice skating and winter walks through the forest on special hiking trails.

The Alberta government will invest CA$ 211.3 million over three years to improve infrastructure and grow the industry so local and international visitors can enjoy outdoor recreation year-round. Minister of Tourism and Sport Joseph Schow said:
