What do Canadians think about it?

Justin Trudeau has been in the news for the past few days. The big news last week was the cabinet reshuffle. And apparently, having dealt with work-related urgencies, Trudeau has taken up his personal life.

On August 2, the Prime Minister of Canada announced that he and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau have decided to divorce. This was announced by Justin Trudeau and his wife on their Instagram accounts:

"Hi, everyone! Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate. As always, we remain a close family with deep lovce and respect for each other and for everything we have built and we will continue to build. For the welll-being of our children, we ask that you respect our annd their privacy. Thank you."

Justin and Sophie Trudeau have been married since May 2005. The marriage produced three children: sons Xavier James (age 15) and Adrian (age 9) and daughter Ella-Grace (age 14).

The Prime Minister's Office said the couple had already "signed a legal separation agreement".

"They have worked to ensure that all legal and ethical steps with regards to their decision to separate have been taken, and will continue to do so moving forward," a spokesperson for the prime minister's office said.
