Canada can expect another hot summer

Such predictions are made by meteorologists.

According to Farmer's Almanac's long-range forecast, Canada can expect another hot season after the record-breaking summer of 2022. By the way, Farmer's Almanac is an annual American periodical since 1818 making long-range weather forecasts for both the United States and Canada.

The report says that most regions of Canada will experience an "unrelenting" heat wave that is expected to occur mostly in late June and early September, with temperatures to exceed 32 °C in places.

Environment Canada senior meteorologist David Phillips says that the preliminary forecast, it shows higher temperatures than in the past 20 years as the effects of climate change marks a new norm for summer weather.

"We are the second most coldest country in the world, but in recent years our summers have been warmer, the world has been warmer, there's summer fever going on in the world," Phillips said.

Phillips says this summer may not break any new records, but temperatures are likely to be above normal, as they have been for most summers in the past two decades. Over the past 75 years, 16 of Canada's 20 hottest summers have occurred since 2000.
