COVID tests for those arriving are returning to Canada

Who will have to take a PCR again to fly to Canada?

It would seem that the COVID-19 pandemic has already receded, but some countries are still identifying large numbers of cases. That's why the Canadian government is introducing new temporary measures for airline passengers.

As of January 5, passengers 2 years of age and older who are traveling by air from China, Hong Kong and Macau will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test to enter Canada. The test must be done no earlier than 2 days before departure. PCR tests and antigen tests are accepted.

Also a passenger can fly with a positive test if more than 10 but less than 90 days have passed between the test and the flight. In this case, a negative test is not necessary. Tests must be presented to all travelers regardless of their vaccination status.

The measure will be valid for 30 days, after which the government will decide on its termination or extension.

Passengers are also advised to wear masks in airplanes, airports, and other crowded places.
