Canada issued 924 invitations to apply for permanent residency

In the new round of invitations, only applicants for provincial immigration programs were eligible to apply.

On March 16, 2022, Canada invited 924 candidates under the Express Entry system to apply for permanent residence. Only candidates from provincial immigration programs received invitations from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. According to Ministry instructions, the invitations can be sent between March 16 and 17, 2022.

To be invited, candidates must have a minimum score of 754 on the Comprehensive Ranking System. The minimum score is relatively high because provincial immigration program candidates automatically receive an additional 600 points when they receive and accept the Canadian provincial nomination certificate. Without the nomination, the candidates with the lowest scores would have received 154 base points. Invited candidates now have 60 days to apply for permanent residency in Canada. In the previous round of invitations, the Ministry invited a total of 1,047 provincial immigration program candidates to apply for immigration.
