Province of Ontario updated conditions for immigrant candidates and their employers
Let's list the responsibilities of the employee and the employer.
We're talking about candidates moving to Canada through the provincial Employer Job Offer stream program. The Ontario government has revised the standards of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) and is warning that it may revoke work permits for violations, as well as ban organizations from hiring foreigners.
Employee Requirements:
-
Demonstrate intent to reside in Ontario.
-
Work in an approved position at the time of the nomination date, if the person is already employed by that company.
-
Apply for a work permit within six months of the date of nomination if the person has not yet started work.
