Canada has introduced a national vaccination passport standard
It will be valid nationwide as well as for international travel.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday announced the launch of a single national vaccination certificate standard.
The vaccination passport will now include your name, date of birth and vaccination history showing when and where you were vaccinated.
At its core, the new standard has a provincial vaccination certificate. Those who already have a provincial document should check to see if the federal logo (the Canadian flag above the last "a" in "Canada") is in the upper right corner. If it is there, this certificate is sufficient.
According to Justin Trudeau, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador have already put the state standard into place.
For international travel, the Canadian government advises downloading this certificate into the ArriveCAN app. Travelling Canadians must now show proof of identity and a certificate of vaccination. It is mandatory to carry both a digital and paper copy.
