Quebec is at risk!

Serious information about a new hacking attack has come from the Canadian Financial Markets Authority.

A phishing hunt has been announced for Quebec citizens: posing as employees of the Administration of Financial Markets (AMF), scammers are contacting Quebec residents by email and asking them to transfer money in connection with stock market trading or selling cryptocurrency.

The domain name from which the hacker attack is being conducted has been discovered: "@lautorite-support.finance". It has been officially confirmed that this domain is in no way associated with AMF, and the Authority has already asked the ISP to block it.

AMF urges Quebec citizens to be very careful when receiving any unsolicited emails. In suspicious messages, do not click on hyperlinks or open attachments!

The Office also informs citizens that it owns the only email domain: "@lautorite.qc.ca" and stresses that its employees do not, under any circumstances, require consumers to pay sums of money by personal bank transfer.

To protect yourself against fraudsters, before making all electronic money transfers or other financial transactions, AMF recommends that consumers take a number of actions:
