Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has expressed his opinion on the recommendation of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). The committee recommends that the AstraZeneca vaccine be discontinued for people under the age of 55. The reason for this is the clot formation that the vaccine may be causing. Many Canadian provinces have already heeded the advice.
The premier said that for Canadians, the right vaccine is "the very first vaccine that will be offered." Trudeau believes vaccination with any of Canada's approved vaccines is the best way out of a pandemic.
