Montreal colleges offer courses for those out of work because of the pandemic

Residents can choose from 27 programs.

The Association of Montreal Colleges (Regroupement des cégeps de Montréal, RCM) has announced the launch of continuing education courses for those who are out of work because of the pandemic. The choice is quite wide: from digital marketing to catering. The association has tried to include the sectors most affected by the pandemic. Training will be available at colleges that are members of the RCM.

Advanced training will allow people who have lost their jobs to improve their skills and develop in their own or a related profession. But what's even better is that if you qualify for one of the programs, you can receive financial support of $500 CAD per week.

The duration of the courses is from 2 to 4 months. There will be up to 18 people in groups. Classes are planned to be conducted in full-time, part-time and full-time forms, it will be possible to study both in French and in English, but only a few programs are available in English:
