The minimum score was 49—the second-lowest threshold for 2026.
Alberta held a selection process for the Law Enforcement Pathway under the Alberta Express Entry Stream on September 21, 2026. Fewer than 10 candidates from the Express Entry pool received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination; the minimum score was 49.
The Law Enforcement Pathway is intended for police officers who have received a job offer from the Alberta Police Service. Scores for this selection process are not calculated using the CRS system, but rather based on Worker Expression of Interest points, which are assigned by the province itself.
The previous selection round for this category took place on July 10, 2026. At that time, the province also issued fewer than 10 invitations, with a minimum score of 52. The cutoff score has been lowered by 3 points.
What the 2026 tryouts reveal
The Law Enforcement Pathway draws remain the smallest in Alberta’s provincial program: in all five draws held in 2026, the province invited fewer than 10 people. The intervals between them varied, ranging from four weeks to two and a half months: the recruitment rounds took place on February 6, March 27, April 23, July 10, and September 21.
The minimum score for 2026 ranged from 46 to 58. It was lowest on March 27 and highest on April 23. The current score of 49 is the second-lowest threshold of the year.
