Canada invited 4000 healthcare workers and social workers through Express Entry
The passing score rose to 475, and the gap between draws was over four months.
On June 25, 2026, Canada held a category-based selection in Express Entry for healthcare and social services professionals. This marked the fourth consecutive day of draws: provincial nominees were invited on June 22, candidates with Canadian work experience on June 23, physicians on June 24, and healthcare and social services specialists on June 25. All four draws took place after an almost month-long pause in the system.
4,000 candidates received invitations to apply for permanent residence. The cut-off score was 475. In the previous draw for this category on February 20, 2026, the threshold was slightly lower at 467 points with the same number of invitations. The score increased by 8 points, while the number of invitations remained unchanged.
More than four months passed between the two draws in this category. Despite the pause, the number of invitations stayed at a high level, which shows Canada's ongoing need for healthcare and social services workers.
Candidates with the same score of 475 points were ranked by profile registration date. Priority was given to those who submitted their profile before May 21, 2026.
After receiving an invitation, candidates have 60 days to prepare and submit a complete set of documents: language certificates, proof of education, and documents confirming professional experience in healthcare or social services.
