Canada increased the number of invitations under the Canadian Experience Class to 4,000
The passing score dropped to 516 — this is now the third consecutive draw with an increased quota.
On June 23, 2026, Canada held an Express Entry draw for the Canadian Experience Class category for candidates with Canadian work experience. Invitations to apply for permanent residence were sent to 4,000 candidates.
The cut-off score dropped to 516. In the previous draw on May 27, 2026, the threshold was 518, and 3,000 people received invitations. The score went down by 2 points, while the number of invitations increased by another thousand.
This is the third consecutive draw in this category where Canada has increased the number of invitations: 2,000 in April, 3,000 in May, and now 4,000 in June. This steady increase in quota combined with a declining cut-off score shows a deliberate effort to bring in more professionals who are already working in the country.
Among candidates with a score of 516, priority was given to those who created their profile before April 14, 2026. Earlier registration in the system gives you an advantage when scores are tied.
Invited candidates have 60 days to prepare and submit their complete application package: language test certificates, education credentials, proof of Canadian work experience, and other documents.

Who qualifies for the Canadian Experience Class program
The Canadian Experience Class is designed for those who already have skilled work experience in Canada. It's one of three federal programs available through Express Entry, along with the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. Candidates are assessed based on multiple factors: age, education, English or French language proficiency, length of Canadian and overall work experience.
